Oh My Fraiche

Omme...wha? Ommegang!
I love company dinners ‘cuz we usually go to fancy restaurants and more importantly, I don’t have to shell out a dime. I just have to put on my best smile and bring forth an empty stomach with a fork in my left and a knife in my right. Oh, and who can forget a nice, tall glass of Ommegang Rare Vos (Belgian-styled Amber Ale) to go with my braised pork shank that’s the size of my thigh?
Fraiche is a french and italian restaurant operated by Jason Travi and pasty chef (wife) Miho Travi. He has had experience at Spago, so I suppose he knows a thing or two when it comes to cooking.

Named after a Brussels bar made famous as the starting point for bicycle and pigeon races, our Rare Vos Amber Ale is also a great place to begin your virtual taste test. As you pour, you’ll notice the beautiful coppery-amber color and the rich creamy head. Lift the glass to your mouth and enjoy the aroma of spicy orange blossoms. Taste, and the pleasant mellow flavor of caramel malt glides easily into a dry, hop finish. Once you’ve finished, start again (after all, this isn’t a race).
Well, no wonder I liked it.
